A leading global CPG, headquartered in Europe, sought Schawk’s expertise to support their growth plans for emerging markets and ensure they were set up for long-term success in APAC.
In the discovery phase, Schawk established a steering committee comprised of key stakeholders from the regional marketing and procurement teams across 11 markets, including China, Japan, Korea, South East Asia and New Zealand. We developed educational campaigns to inform these committee members of new print management activities, which eased the regional and local teams into a new centralized model for brand production.
Schawk mapped out current and future-state workflows and processes, plus developed new tools required to achieve brand standards. These tools included standardized briefing templates, a central library of all graphic assets and brand-specific color standards. We deployed a training program to teach printers and employees about the new guidelines.
Schawk sought to protect brand equity by implementing corrective actions to resolve any potential disconnect between design agencies and printers. Several printers were fingerprinted, trained to new standards and given accurate color targets to ensure consistency.
We successfully simplified an optimized design-to-print process, along with achieving enhanced print quality and a strong regional graphic management model.
