David A. Schawk
President and
Chief
Executive Officer
Under David Schawk’s leadership, Schawk, Inc.
has grown into a global business, bringing innovative, technology-based
brand imaging solutions to consumer products companies and advertising
agencies worldwide. His vision of transforming the company required
repositioning the company’s core capabilities and realigning
its business units to deliver the highest level of strategic value
to clients. As part of this vision, the company acquired and integrated
established companies into its global imaging network that extended
its competencies along the supply chain, providing clients with
an end-to-end solution.
Today, the clarity of David’s Vision 2020 plan
focuses and guides Schawk employees all over the world toward this
goal. With operations in Asia and Latin America— as well as
in the U.S. and Canada— today, Schawk is the industry’s
only true provider of global brand imaging solutions. David’s
career at Schawk began more than 26 years ago in 1977 when he immersed
himself in the business, managing one of the company’s prepress
divisions.
Seven years later, he was appointed President and
General Manager of Schawk Graphics. In 1992, David A. Schawk was
appointed Chief Operating Officer of Schawk, Inc. then comprised
of over 15 separate divisions. And in February 1993, he was elected
President and CEO of Schawk, Inc.
Today, David serves as Vice Chairman for the Association
of Graphic Solutions Providers and is actively engaged in the fundraising
efforts of the United Way, for whom he has served as a Board Member.
David A. Schawk is the son of Clarence W. Schawk.
