1 Agency, 2 Brands, 3 Awards

Posted on 10.04.11

If the work was fun for the designer, it’s going to be fun for the customer. Case in point: Anthem Worldwide’s package design on Safeway’s The Snack Artist and Refreshe private label lines. The conceptual and visual creativity for these private brands makes you smile and feel refreshed – and it recently won Anthem three major design awards.

Anthem – the brand development division of Schawk – received a Silver Pentaward for its design of The Snack Artist salty snacks packaging and a Bronze Pentaward for its Refreshe line of CSD/carbonated soft drinks officially awarded Sept. 29 in New York City. Additionally, The Snack Artist private brand packaging has received a Communications Arts (CA) Award of Excellence.

The Snack Artist tortilla chip line has it all: an appealing earth-tone color palette to create consistency, casually clever doodles that incorporate tasty product shots, puns for fun (Mariacheese, Señorita Cornita) and a resealable bag. Private label packaging can’t work much harder than this while looking like it’s not working at all – just having a good time.
